Monte Branco XX Anos Tinto

Climate: Continental Mediterranean. Warm and dry days with large daily temperature amplitude.

Soils: Limestone and Transition from Limestone to Schist.

Grape Varieties: 75% Alicante Bouschet and 25% Trincadeira.

Winemaking: Alicante Bouschet from 2017 with fermentation in treading lagar, Trincadeira from 2018, 2019 and 2020 with fermentation in tanks.

Ageing: The Alicante Bouschet aged in a 2200 litre foudre. At the end of each 12 month period, 10% of the volume is removed and Trincadeira is added. In total, it has aged for 4 years.

Winemaker: Luís Louro and Inês Capão.
