Denomination: DOC Bucelas
Grape Varieties: Arinto
Winemaking: The grapes were harvested manually into small 15kg boxes, destemmed, and macerated for a week before fermentation began with indigenous yeasts. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks and 20% in used 350-liter French oak barrels.
Ageing: It took place over 10 months on top of the fine dregs with batonnage only in the first 2 months.
Tasting Notes: Murgas Bucelas is a wine that expresses the strength of the Atlantic terroir in limestone soils. It combines the elegance of Arinto with the characteristic minerality of limestone soils. Serious, profound, captivating and with great longevity, it brings together the attributes of great historical wines.
Gastronomy: Pairs perfectly with appetizers, fish dishes, some white meats, cheeses, and apple pie. Should be served at a temperature of 10-12°C.
Winemaker: Bernardo Cabral
