Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Note: Intense aroma,full of spices and wild fruit notes. Discrete notes from the barrel toast. Complex, with excellent freshness, a lot of character an elegance.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested. Total destemming. Prolonged maceration in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts under controlled temperature for 15 days. Transfer to new 225L French oak barrels for 14 months. 5 years of bottle aging before release to the market.
Pairing: Pairs beautifully with duck confit, foie gras, roasted veal or lamb, traditional sausages.
Acceptable Storage Time: 10 to 20 years
