Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes: Color: Garnet red gradually fading to mahogany. Aroma: Red berries and blackberry, a series of floral and secondary notes, hints of coffee and smoke, and subtle hints of spice. Flavor: Peppery spices, present but smooth tannins, and mouth-watering acidity. The finish is long, dry, and with a sweet/sour duality.
Vinification: The best grapes grown at Quinta do Poço do Lobo were harvested by hand and, after rigorous selection and de-stemming, macerated for two weeks in a press with a pneumatic tread. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged.
Recommended Dishes: Roasted or grilled red meats, soft cheeses, and game, among other delicacies. Best Served at 16°C.
