Quinta de Cidrô Gewurztraminer Branco 2024

The Quinta de Cidrô Gewurztraminer is an extremely original wine that differentiates completly from any style of white wine in Portugal. It is an excellent demonstration of how the Douro’s character can influence even the most striking grape varieties, in which this Gewurztraminer is completely transformed by our region.

Grape Varieties: Gewurztraminer

Tasting Notes: We seek to make a wine where the characteristics of the grape variety in terms of aroma and flavor are very evident, but at the same time maintaining the character of the white wines of the Douro, our structure, minerality and acidity. It is, therefore, an extremely aromatic wine with aromas of Lychee and Roses (so typical of this variety) very evident, but unlike the usual, dry, austere and with beautiful acidity.

Vinification and Ageing: The grapes are crushed on a pneumatic press. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature. No barrel ageing. 100% of the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks for 6 months before bottling.

Pairing Suggestions: Sushi, curry dishes and salad

Storage: Horizontally, in a cool (16°C), dark place.
