Winemaking and Aging: Hand-harvested into small perforated crates. Reception with total destemming. Gentle crushing and pressing under an inert atmosphere. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of around 16ºC. Aging in stainless steel vats with "batonnage" until bottling, to highlight the aromas of the grape variety.
Characteristics: At Quinta do Sobreiró de Cima, we carefully select the finest Gewürztraminer grapes to craft this single-varietal wine. This white wine is part of the original batch (the other part is aging for later release to showcase the grape's "other side") and is bottled without any aging to preserve all its primary aromas and typicity. As a result, this pale-colored wine presents sweet aromas of spices, rose petals, and lychees, balanced by a crisp acidity. It's a young, unoaked wine where varietal aromas shine through.
Try it with: Great for more casual dishes like salads, pizzas or sushi, and also pairs well with grilled fish, some seafood and poultry. For more adventurous palates, serve with chicken and rice or a grilled ribeye steak. Serve at a temperature of 10ºC.
