Grape Varieties: Baga 100%
Tasting Notes: With a deep garnet color, this wine boasts an intense aroma dominated by wild berry notes typical of the Baga grape variety. On the palate, it is full-bodied, complex, and concentrated with strong, yet not aggressive, tannins. It is a wine distinguished by its fresh acidity, elegance, intensity, and persistence on the palate. It should be consumed in moderation, at a temperature of 18°C.
Vinification: Crushing without destemming, with the grapes cooling in the cellar in small open vats, where skin maceration begins, followed by fermentation, without the addition of enzymes or yeasts. The grapes are then foot-trodden manually using wooden mallets to maximize the extraction of the Baga variety's vinous characteristics.
Ageing: After fermentation in small open lagares (traditional stone vats), the wine is transferred to cement tanks, where it rests until November, when it is clarified and racked into 4,000-liter barrels of national oak that have been seasoned for 18 months.
