Quinta da Devesa Tawny 80 Anos

To celebrate our 80th anniversary, Quinta da Devesa has decided to bottle for the first time this extraordinary and rare wine, a wine which has been matured and concentrated over decades in our Douro cellars. This exclusive limited-edition wine comes from a very small number of casks that have been exclusively reserved for the family; unique treasures from Antónia and José Fortunato Júnior’s legacy, the members of the family who originally acquired Quinta da Devesa in 1941. Today Quinta da Devesa continues to be an independent family Port Wine producer and is honoured to share the experience of enjoying this special and unique wine with Port Wine aficionados all over the world.

Tasting Notes: This Very Very Old Tawny Port has a golden colour, with green hues revealing its age. On the nose it reveals an outstanding bouquet of sumptuous aromas with notes of whiskey, caramel, orange peel, tobacco and snuff. It wraps the palate with a dense and full body, excellent acidity and notes of citrus, hints of good wood and spices. The wine has a very long finish with exceptional complexity, depth and a remarkable balance of sweetness and freshness. This is a wine of such complexity that it effortlessly offers layer after layer of flavour and nuance. Recommended to be served at a temperature from 12 to 14ºC.

Vinification: This 50 Years Old Port is obtained from a selection of grape varieties recommended for the Douro region. The ageing process occurs naturally over the years, in oak vats at Quinta da Devesa cellars, thus resulting in a darkened colour.

Temperature: Serve at 14ºC. Once opened, preserves its good tasting notes for at least 2 months.
