This wine is a blend with an average age of more than 50 years, bottled in 2015, from the best and oldest wines of the Malvasia variety, harvested in São Jorge, from volcanic and basaltic soil, with a clayey, acidic texture and rich in matter. organic. A mild subtropical climate, hot summers and temperate winters. Great proximity between the vineyards and the sea, which gives the wines a perfect acidity.

Tasting Notes: This Madeira Wine of Malvasia | Sweet has a topaz-brown color with orange reflections. The palate is marked by an intoxicating, clean, elegant, and extremely complex flavor. Acidity and body are well-structured and in harmony with the sweetness and tannins. It is a sweet, full-bodied wine rich in aged aromas, predominantly featuring toasted almond, vanilla with hints of iodine, tobacco, and caramel.
Vinification: Open vat vinification, in casks, with fortification before the end of fermentation.
Ageing: Aged in 650-liter American oak casks until bottling. It is a unique "blended" wine with an age of over 50 years, sourced from the finest and oldest Malvasia wines that mature in our cellars in Funchal and still form part of our stock today.
Storage and Serving: It should be stored upright, and after opening, the wine will remain in good condition for several months. Madeira wines may develop natural sediment, so we recommend decanting. It is a wine with great longevity and is suitable for any occasion. Ideally enjoyed at the end of a meal, with a good cigar, or for special occasions.
Pairing: This wine is delicious with dried fruits, especially walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts. It goes well with nut cakes, honey cake, shortbread cookies, dark or milk chocolate, pralines and petit-fours. It is a wine that is elegant with Portuguese cheeses and blue cheeses or even simply with a good cigar.
