Drink Me Nat Cool Tinto 2024

Nat Cool is naturally “cool and funky”. It represents an innovative concept initiated by Niepoort, in which various producers came together to create light and easy-to-drink wines. In the Bairrada region we have produced the DrinkMe, the first Nat Cool, where we try to showcase a different and elegant side of the Baga grape variety. An incredibly light and accessible wine which just begs to be enjoyed. Welcome to the Nat Cool world!

Grape Varieties: Baga. Average Vine Age 40 to 100 Years.

Soil: Calcareous clay

Tasting Notes: A true glou-glou red: bursting with violet florals, cherry, and a tangy hint of rhubarb. The palate is round and juicy, with vibrant acidity and a subtle spicy finish. Light, fresh, and dangerously drinkable — serve chilled and don’t overthink it.

Vinfication: The NAT COOL 2024 stems from various old vineyard blocks. The wine was fermented in stainless steel for 5 weeks and left to mature and undergo malolactic fermentation in stainless steel until bottling. It was bottled unfiltered.

Ageing: 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

Gastronomy: Light and simple dishes as well as comfort food. Suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians.
