Textura D. Áurea is a tribute to grandmother Áurea, our connection to Portuguese roots. Daughter of Portuguese, born in Brazil, she made an impact on everyone who knew her for her cheerful and aggregating spirit, full of vigor for life. This is a wine from the Bastardo variety, exclusive and that well expresses elegance, finesse, richness of flavors and passi-on. Ideal for toasting D. Áurea.

Grape Varieties: 100% Bastardo from the sub-region of Dão – Serra da Estrela – at an altitude of 600 meters and in granite soils.

Tasting Notes: Delicate aromas with red fruit character, something earthy, fresh and austere. Presence of this fruity character in the mouth with a high sensation of freshness and elegance. Still with character, dry but precise and textured tannins. Great complexity and enormous potential for ageing in the bottle.

Vinification: The Bastardo grapes ferment in a press with 30% whole bunch and macerate for 15 days. Then they age for 1 year in old barrels.
