Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão.
Winemaking: The winemaking process takes place in stainless steel vats with 1 day of pre-fermentation and maceration and 2 days of fermentation. A Colheita port is a single-vintage dated wine, aged in wooden casks for about seven years and bottled on demand and order. Maynard's Colheitas have been carefully selected and aged in French oak barrels to highlight a rich, full-bodied structure with a perfect and elegant balance characteristic of older tawnies.
Suggestions: Ready to drink, these wines are perfect to accompany desserts and to end a meal perfectly. They pair well with Roquefort, cakes, chocolates, nuts, chestnuts, crème brûlée, and as a digestif with cigars. It should be served slightly chilled, especially in warm room temperatures. Once opened, it can be consumed for up to about two months.
