Grape Varieties: Blend of 60% red grapes and 40% white grapes.
Vineyards Age: 80 to 100 years
Soil: Predominantly schistous with some patches of granitic soil.
Winemaking: Whole bunch treading in a lagar (traditional stone trough). After pressing, 80% of the wine is transferred to stainless steel tanks and 20% to used French oak barrels, where natural fermentation takes place, followed by malolactic fermentation. No clarification. No filtration.
Tasting Notes: Deep, clear ruby color. Fruity aromas of blackberry and raspberry, combined with herbaceous, spicy, and earthy notes. The soft tannins from foot treading and the moderate acidity are well balanced, and the minerality gives firmness to the whole. On the palate, it is juicy yet firm, with a long finish of subtle bitterness and umami. An energetic and delicate wine.
