Horácio Simões Excellent Moscatel de Setúbal

Moscatel Setúbal is a dessert wine produced in the Setúbal Region demarcated since 1907. Casa Agrícola Horácio Simões knew at the right time to invest in these wines to be its ambassador throughout the world.

Tasting Notes: Color: Topaz with greenish hints. Aroma: Floral, spices and evolution. Taste: Round, very soft and fresh. Aftertaste: Very long.

Serving Suggestions: As an accompaniment to a good dessert served at a temperature of 18ºC.

Winemaking: Moscatel Setúbal “Excellent” is the result of intense work over more than 100 years shared between the vineyard and the winery. The vineyard was monitored and pampered for decades so that yields did not exceed 2500 liters/ha. At the winery, a “proper” winemaking process was designed for this product, different from the usual. The final stage is carried out in various wooden barrels, where they will be concentrated for decades. Excellent Moscatel de Setúbal is the result of a batch of very special barrels that result in an impressive wine.
