Vineyards: Schist soils. Made with grapes from Quinta do Cabido, a family estate named after its location—an inhospitable bend formed by the Teja stream in the parish of Numão. Situated in a mountainous area roughly 300–400 meters above sea level, the land slopes down towards Vesúvio, located 3 km away on the south bank of the Douro River.
Grape Varieties: A blend of traditional Douro varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Barroca.
Winemaking: At Conceito, we use a combination of traditional granite lagares for fermentation, employing both foot treading and a mechanical robot.
Maturation: Oak barrels
Tasting Notes: The palate is silky and rich, with a velvety texture, where the dried fruit notes from the aroma meld with rich hints of caramel and honey. The nutty character provides deep complexity, while subtle acidity balances the sweetness and lends the wine a refreshing lightness.
