Grape Varieties: Mixture of two grape varieties native to the region: Encruzado and Touriga Nacional.
Tasting Note: Light red color with brownish nuances, almost terracotta. It presents a fresh mineral aroma, with a slight reduction, spices and eucalyptus. With medium concentration, this is a mysterious and complex wine. After a while, the wine breathes and surprises with the presence of fresh and vibrant fruit, a nose that changes with each moment. Very delicate in the mouth with incredible lightness. Touch of spices at the end, more structured and persistent.
Winemaking: Encruzado grapes harvested separately from those of Touriga Nacional. The whole process was done individually. Harvest by Hand. Total destemming. Prolonged maceration in a stainless steel deposit. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts under controlled temperature for 20 days. Stomp by foot. Decantation for new 225L French oak barrels for 12 months. After ageing, the final blend was made. The final blend determined the percentage of each grape variety - 15% Encruzado and 85% Touriga Nacional.
Ageing: 12 months in used French oak barrels of several years.
Acceptable storage time: 5 to 10 Years.
