Description: Port wine from a single harvest, produced only in years of exceptional quality. Aged in oak vessels, it is bottled between the second and third year after the harvest. During the bottle aging, gradually acquiring the extraordinary style of a great guard wine.
Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional; Touriga Franca; Tinta Roriz; Tinta Barroca; Tinto Cão.
Tasting Note: Full red. Ripe berry fruit and spice. Full-bodied, complex, with notes of dark plum and chocolate. Firm yet harmonious tannins.
Food Pairing: Ideal as a dessert or convivial wine, superb with high quality cheeses like Stilton and Roquefort, and also dark chocolate. Prior decanting and careful serving are recommended. Serve at 18°C/64°F. Ready to be consumed now or wait for the ageing evolution in the bottle.
