Herdade do Rocim Fresh from Amphora Tinto is the result of a partnership between Herdade do Rocim and Niepoort, taking an approach to the Nat'Cool concept and its philosophy of relaxed and easy-to-drink wines. Our interpretation uses the ancestral method of making wine in clay amphorae, contributing to a light, fresh and very harmonious wine.
Grape Varieties: Moreto, Tinta Grossa and Trincadeira.
Tasting Notes: Very light ruby color, nose with earthy, vegetal and very fresh fruit character. Very light and harmonious. Should be served slightly chilled (12-14ºC).
Winemaking: The winemaking process was carried out using the traditional method, in clay amphorae, and without temperature control. The ancestral way of making amphora wine was fully respected. Fermentation was done with indigenous yeasts from the region and without any additions or corrections to the must.
Ageing: Two months of skin contact inside the hoist.
