Soil: Sandy (granitic) and shale.
Tasting Notes: It presents a deep red color, a very elegant and fine aroma with notes of violet, blackberry and black plum. Light nuance of spices combined with expressions of dried fruits, harmonize this wine in a captivating and original way. It reveals maturity, complexity, distinct velvety and refinement, expressing the strong character of a great Dão wine. It is the top-of-the-range wine from Vinha de Reis.
Vinification: Traditional, classic winemaking. Fermentation with controlled temperature up to 28ºC for 6 days, with slight post-fermentative maceration.
Ageing: 13 months in new French oak barrels.
Gastronomy: It is a wine that is ready to drink, however it can be kept for another 10 years.
