Grape Varieties: Majority of Encruzado with other varieties from old vineyards.
Vineyards: Old vineyards from Quinta da Teixuga.
Tasting Notes: Straw yellow colour. Great intensity, revealing aromatic complexity that is due to its particular aging conditions. The superior integration of the aromas that come from French oak, where it ages, stand out. Intense attack, voluminous, revealing a crisp acidity but very well integrated. The ending is long and memorable.
Vinification: Born from a unique lot, this great wine matured for 34 months in French oak barrels and during the aging,“batonnage” was made periodically in order to obtain the total integration between wine and barrels, revealing all the structure and complexity this Dão queen variety is famous for. After bottling, the wine matured for around 7 months in bottle. Character, elegance and boldness is what denes this Teixuga white.
