Bastardo, is a wine produced in the Setúbal Region demarcated since 1907. Casa Agrícola Horácio Simões knew at a good time to bet on this variety that is extinct in the region and produce this innovative nectar.

Tasting Note: Dark amber color. Complex aroma, jam, figs, spice and dried fruits. Round flavor, very soft and very fresh. Fresh, lingering finish.

Gastronomy: As an accompaniment to a good dessert served at a temperature of 14ºC.

Winemaking: The process Our house's aging process intensifies the fruit, creating a complex palate that is characteristic of the great old liqueurs. This Bastard is ideal for finishing a meal and becomes an inspiration for a good conversation. It is produced according to the traditional method of the big generous in our house. Hand-picked grapes are destemmed and crushed, followed by fermentation with maceration of the films to extract the best constituents. The addition of wine brandy establishes the balance between the body and the aroma of the wine, being the ideal moment established by the Oenology team after a strict control. Over the years, the Generoso Horácio Simões wines are carefully transferred, tasted and analyzed and blended based on the teachings left by previous generations. Before going out to the market, our wines are evaluated by the family tasters (mandatory representation from 3 generations).
