ARVAD means refuge and was the name initially given by the Phoenicians to the Arade River over 2,500 years ago. Stretching along the left bank of this river, the vineyard takes root on the north-facing slope with a privileged view of Silves.
Grape Varieties: Negra Mole
Tasting Notes: Visual Appearance: Greenish-yellow, slightly cloudy. Olfactory Appearance: Notes of white stone fruits, gunpowder, and some pastry. Taste: It has volume, with a texture reminiscent of the amphora where it fermented and aged. Deep and saline.
Pairing: Pairs well with mussels and limpets, prepared fish dishes, Italian pastas or aged cheeses.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested into 15kg boxes, grape selection, and fermentation for 32 days at 16°C, followed by prolonged maceration for 1 month. Aged in 750-liter terracotta amphorae for 9 months.
