Procura Branco 2021

"Two years after finding the vineyards for Procura red, I found in Portalegre, in a much cooler area than the rest of the Alentejo, a unique and exceptional vineyard. An old vineyard of 80 years with a mixture of grape varieties and very low production, located in the Serra de São Mamede. Its composition, age and location provide a freshness and complexity unusual to Busca Branco, giving rise to this unique and extraordinary wine."

Grape Varieties: Mixture of traditional grape varieties from Portalegre.

Tasting Note: The austere nose shows notes of citrus aromas and dry straw. Mineral and very elegant, it offers an enormous complexity of aromas, showing itself to be elegant and complex, concentrated and with a firm acidity and tense end.

Winemaking: Manual harvest in 20 kg boxes with strict choice at the entrance of the cellar. Fermentation started in stainless steel vats with temperature control. Fermentation in used French oak barrels has ended. Aging for 8 months in used French oak barrels.
