Pôpa Unoaked Tinto 2021

A SMOOTH & ELEGANT red, with aging potential. The range of Pôpa Unoaked wines was designed to enjoy and celebrate the youthfulness and freshness of the wines. They are low in alcohol, fruity and mineral, perfectly representing the new Douro wines. When creating them, we sought simplicity and lightness to celebrate each moment with a glass of wine.

Grape Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Fanca, Tinta Roriz.

Tasting Notes: Smooth & elegant, with aging potential.

Vinification: Manual harvest, with pre-selection of the grape. The transport was done in 20 kg boxes, in order to preserve the quality of the grapes. In the cellar, they were destemmed, crushed and transferred to stainless steel vats, where alcoholic fermentation took place. Batch/blend made after aging in Cuba.

Ageing: Stainless steel vats.

Gastronomy: The good volume and fused but alive tannins can withstand the average juiciness of the ingredients, as well as the medium intensity, however their freshness does not overlap with the freshest ingredient profiles. Works well with various textures. Its service temperature, the lowest 15º / 16ºC, will be perfect for most garments.
