Grape Varieties: Castelão of old vines over 80 years old.
Tasting Note: Red violet color. Intense, fruity aroma, an excellent combination with French Oak wood. On the palate it is round, soft and of great concentration. Medium aftertaste.
Gastronomy: Served at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC. It goes well with cheese as well as practically all Mediterranean food.
Vinification: Fermented with stalks and film in stone mills, without temperature control. The masses are pressed and this press wine is separated. Malolactic fermentation occurs after the mill leaves cement tanks.
Ageing: French oak barrels for 9 months and then 3 months in bottle.
Expected Longevity: If kept in good condition, it has great possibilities for improvement for a few more years.
Winemaker: Luís Camacho Simões
