Grape Varieties: In an integrated production regime, this Reserve has in its origin the best grapes of the traditional varieties of the region: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousão, from old vines.
Tasting Note: Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, raspberry and notes of rock rose and violet. In the mouth it is full, with an elegant finish where wild fruits and floral notes with notes of dark chocolate are present.
Winemaking: The grapes were harvested by hand, at their ideal point of maturation, aiming to have a vigorous maturation, leading to higher aromatic and polyphenolic concentrations. The winemaking was done in a mill, with treading on foot and fermentation in stainless steel vats, thus allowing the quality constituents present in the grapes' very ripe grapes to pass smoothly into the wine, with slight reassembly and prolonged maceration.
Ageing: After malolactic fermentation, the wine aged in new and first year French oak barrels for 14 months.
Pairing: A wine with an excellent structure, perfect for intense cheeses, sausages and game dishes.
Winemaker: Victor Rabaçal and João Brito e Cunha
