Grape Varieties: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Nacional from vineyards about 20 years old in Douro Superior.
Tasting Notes: Fresh and elegant, with notes of blackberry and cassis, and floral notes typical of Touriga Nacional. In the mouth it is structured, round and with very elegant tannins, creating an end with a lot of fruit and persistence.
Gastronomy: Fatty fish, cod, red and white meats, risottos and pastes, soft cheeses.
Winemaking: Total destemming of the grapes followed by gentle crushing, pre-fermentative cold maceration in fermentation vats for 24 hours. Fermentation at temperatures between 22 and 25ºC. Part of this batch made malolactic fermentation in used American oak barrels.
