In the heart of Vidigueira, in the southern foothills of Serra do Mendro, in schist soils with a Franco Arenosa and Franco Limosa texture, the non-armed vines are planted, which gave rise to this wine.
Grape Varieties : Traditional varieties, mainly Trincadeira and Castelão.
Tasting Note: Open in color, it has a complex aroma. Red fruits in harmony with vegetable and balsamic notes, translate in the mouth a lively and precise acidity, with a delicate and elegant texture.
Vinification: Grapes picked by hand, trodden by foot for 2 days. At the spontaneous start of fermentation, the grapes were pressed and the must kept in uncoated clay pots from the 17th century. XIX, until the end of alcoholic fermentation. The 12-month stage was carried out in century-old oak and Portuguese chestnut barrels.
