Grape Varieties: Field blend with about 10 different traditional varieties, including Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Códega, Gouveio, Donzelinho Branco, Folgazão, Arinto. Granitic soil. It was very old, pre-phyloxeric, in a small granitic plateau (altitude 600m).
Winemaking: The grapes are harvested by hand into small boxes, before being refrigerated and then pressed in a pneumatic press, without destemming. Cold settling, followed by fermentation in casks of temperature controlled French oak and regular bâtonnage up to one month before bottling.
Ageing: 10 months in used French oak barrels with regular bâtonnage.
